1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Whym ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of the App

Whym is a personal decision-making toolkit for iOS. It provides tools to help you pause impulsive decisions, weigh options, and make more intentional choices. Current tools include:

• Impulse Stopper — a timer that delays impulse purchases or decisions
• Pros & Cons — a weighted pros and cons analysis tool
• Bracket Decider — a head-to-head comparison tool
• Option Sieve — a swipe-based option eliminator
• Daily Randomizer — a daily shuffle for recurring decisions
• Gut Check, Coin Toss, Spin Wheel, Number Generator — quick decision aids

The App is provided "as-is" for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Whym. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems related to the App
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or resell any portion of the App

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, code, and functionality of the App are owned by or licensed to Whym and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Whym name, logo, and branding are our trademarks.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your personal iOS device solely for your own personal use.

6. Data & Privacy

All data you create within the App (decisions, timer history, presets, etc.) is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal decision data.

7. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App may send you local alerts related to active Impulse Stopper timers. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and are not sent through any external server. You can manage or disable notifications at any time in your iOS Settings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided by the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

10. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App Store is governed by Apple's own Terms of Service. We are not responsible for any issues arising from the App Store or Apple's platforms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
